Version 1.0
This is the game jam version. 3 stages, 3 enemy types. Has an ending, has got all the UI cards in there, completely playable game.
I planned to have 5 stages, many more enemy types, and at least 1 boss. (There is boss music that went unused.) If there is a post-jam version, there is certainly some content to add that was left on the operating table.
I do not know how well this game will be received. Didn't have time for any organized playtesting, but from what I've heard, the game is too hard. Players may not get to see the detail that went into the game's basic mechanic and if so that's unfortunate.
Basically, this game is a love letter to Super R-Type. Instead of collecting power-ups, you have to hit enemies with a blast that transforms them into your 'Force' - you can use it to fire, or send it out in front of you as a projectile. The twist is that you can capture MULTIPLE enemies at once and they go into a stack, where you can pull the old ones out later using the same button. The enemies convert to "friends" and the friends are all unique in what they give you while attached AND while unattached, and that's where the game becomes interesting to balance.
Let me know what you think. Haven't made a game of this genre in Godot before. I did my best.
